CARTERS CORNER: FISHER DAZZLES NFL SCOUTS

Former Goodpasture star Mark Fisher blew NFL scouts away at the MTSU Pro Day yesterday. Fisher was projected as a late round selection for the NFL Draft but his stock is rising after his performance at the workout in Murfreesboro. Adding weight to his frame, Fisher is now up to 302 pounds and ran a 5.1 time in the 40. Fisher played left tackle at Goodpasture at 265 pounds for the most dominant offensive line in school history.

Fisher put up staggering numbers at the Pro Day workout. His 43 reps of 225 lbs in the weight rooom were the second most ever recorded for an  offensive lineman at the NFL combine and fourth best ever for any position.  All indications are the Goodpasture Football NFL connection is about to add another Cougar alumni. Fisher would be the third active player from Goodpasture playing in the NFL. This would rank first in the state of Tennessee and among elite status for high school football programs in the entire country.
